I’ll not be wrong to say I.J.M.B is designed to ameliorate problems of admission for candidates seeking admission into Nigeria University instead of JAMB. Some years back Vice chancellors and some of the NUC members in conjunction with the educational regulating body of Nigeria sat together and taught it wise to come up with another strategy through which students can gain admission into higher institution without JAMB. It does not just end there, but it is design in a way to make it better, easier and faster than JAMB. It is easier in the sense that you don’t have to be struggling for admission. It is better in the sense that you gain straight admission into 200 level, and it is faster because you spend just 3years if your course is 4years course and 4years if your course is five years course respectively. There is no entrance examination before admission. IJMB is not like JAMB that requires series of examinations before being considered for admission.
