NASPOLY Set To Resume Academic Activities After A Shut Down Following Students' Protest

The Nasarawa State Polytechnic Lafia is set to resume academic activities after being shut-down in July as a result of student’s unrest.

The Registrar of the polytechnic, Mr Labani Joseph, however stated that students are to meet certain conditions before being re-admitted.

The conditions include submitting a letter of undertaking to be of good behaviour which must be signed by their respective Local Government chairmen or by a civil servant not below the rank of a director in service.

A bank teller showing evidence of the payment of N2000 into the institution’s account with the Unity Bank as fine for damages caused during the protest.

According to him, failure to present these items by any student, will amount to forfeiting his or her studies with the institution.

He equally advised students to comply with the conditions and resume immediately as academic activities would commence without further delays to meet up with the school’s academic calendar for the year.
